Jermaine Beckford reveals two new Leeds January signings as major problems emerge
Leeds United have struggled on both ends of the pitch under Daniel Farke this season.
Former Whites forward Jermaine Beckford is concerned about the lack of goals and the defensive frailties in LS11 this season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t lived up to expectations at Elland Road, scoring just two goals in 11 Premier League appearances this season.
Farke’s team conceded three against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on 29 November, and while the West Yorkshire outfit put up a valiant effort in the second half, they still lost 3-2.

Leeds United to sign new forward and defender
Given the defensive and offensive issues plaguing Leeds, reinforcements in those areas should be considered in the winter transfer window, Beckford says.
The Whites sit 18th in the league table as things stand, with the threat of relegation realistic at Elland Road.
If 49ers Enterprises and Paraag Marathe are serious about establishing the West Yorkshire outfit in the English top flight, investments may be needed in the squad sooner rather than later.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 3 December, Beckford said: “As you know, every single window you’re looking to improve the team, regardless of where it is. The biggest issue at the moment is defensively, conceding too many goals, and offensively, not scoring enough goals.”
“So naturally you’re going to have to say we want to look at strengthening those two areas.”
Premier League relegation seems likely at Elland Road right now, and the American ownership have to take initiative to turn things around.
Daniel Farke sack set after what will happen vs Chelsea
Chelsea are expected to beat Leeds at Elland Road on 3 December, which will make it five losses in a row for them.
Farke is lucky to still be in a job at the Whites, and while they’ve had to face some tough opponents in recent weeks, fans expected better from the German manager.
| Competition | Matches | Goals for | Goals against |
| Premier League | 13 | 13 | 25 |
If the West Yorkshire outfit drop three more points against the Blues and fail to put in a promising performance over 90 minutes, the former Norwich City manager’s position in LS11 will come under more scrutiny.
While Farke may have an opportunity to get the players needed to survive the drop in January, it remains to be seen whether he’ll last that long.
