Jean-Kevin Augustin posts six-word tweet ahead of Leeds clash v Millwall

Jean-Kevin Augustin is excited by the prospect of attending Elland Road on Tuesday night to watch Leeds United play against Millwall in the Championship.

Leeds completed a loan deal to sign Augustin, 22, from RB Leipzig on Monday but unfortunately, he will not be available for selection for Marcelo Bielsa until the weekend.

Still, the French forward is set to make his way to Elland Road to watch his new team-mates in action for the first time.

“First time at Elland Road tonight,” Augustin said via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, followed by a starstruck emoji.

Patrick Bamford is set to start up front for Leeds for the final time before he has serious competition for his spot in Bielsa’s starting line-up.

Augustin is not going to be like Eddie Nketiah; He’s not going to be there just to be a back-up option for the Leeds United manager.

Augustin is a proven goalscorer in the Bundesliga and Champions League and although he had a miserable time at Monaco in the first half of this season, the former Paris Saint-Germain striker is someone who could tear up the Championship with Leeds.

Leeds create way more chances than any other side in the Championship but are by no means top goalscorers because their conversion rate is so poor.

Augustin could completely change that.

While it is great that he will be in the stands on Tuesday night, we cannot wait to see what he can do on the pitch, spearheading the Leeds attack.
