Jayden Bogle to Leeds United ‘done and dusted, announcement imminent

Jayden Bogle’s transfer to Leeds United is “done and dusted” with an announcement possibly coming on Saturday night, according to Danny Hall.

Writing on his personal X account (20 July), the Sheffield Star journalist reports that a deal has been completed after the defender told manager Chris Wilder that he saw his future at Elland Road and not Bramall Lane.

Leeds agreed a £5million deal for the right-back [John Percy, 20 July], who will replace Connor Roberts and Archie Gray in Dainel Farke’s thinking for the position after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal [TEAMtalk, 20 July].

Leeds United get transfer business done quickly

The summer window at Leeds has largely been about outgoings more so than incomings, but the 49ers have now completed four deals to add to Farke’s squad.

Joe Rodon has returned after his loan last season, while goalkeeper Alex Cairns has joined to replace Kristoffer Klaesson and Joe Rothwell arrived on loan from Bournemouth.

It shows that when business needs to get done the owners know exactly what they are doing, and are capable of getting deals done and agreed quickly.

Bogle was a key target for Farke in a problem position for the squad, but it’s now been addressed in time for the player to have an almost full pre-season which means he should be fine for the start of the season.

That’s a huge boost to the club’s promotion charge, and Leeds fans can now look forward to other arrivals happening quickly once the 49ers put their minds to it.
