James Maddison sends message as Leeds United transfer agreement clinched
Manor Solomon was sent a good luck message by Tottenham team-mate James Maddison after completing his loan move to Leeds United.
The newest Whites signing posted on Instagram (27 August) stating that he was delighted to be in LS11 for the season ahead and was looking forward to seeing the club’s fans at a packed Elland Road.
Maddison, who like Solomon, joined Spurs in the summer of 2023, commented below the winger’s Instagram post with a comment which read: “Good luck brother.”
Solomon is set to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the culmination of his season-long spell with Daniel Farke’s side, who have no option-to-buy clause in the loan deal agreed with Spurs [David Ornstein, 24 August].
Leeds United fans hoping Manor Solomon can make big impact
A loan move to Elland Road and the potential Premier League promotion which might come at the end of it could prove to be the making of Solomon, who has stagnated during his time at Spurs so far.
While Maddison cemented his place as one of the Premier League’s best players with four goals and nine assists in 28 matches last season, Solomon managed just five games in total, with zero in both columns.

Moving down to the Championship and playing regularly in a front-foot attacking side could therefore unlock the enormous potential of the 25-year-old winger, filling the void left by Crysencio Summerville.
United fans have already seen Solomon’s quality first-hand during a 2023 FA Cup fifth-round tie against a Fulham side featuring the Israeli – and his long-range curling strikes from the edge of the box.
Solomon will certainly hope to hit the ground running at Elland Road, and with support coming from both his parent and current club’s players and fans alike, expect him to make a sizeable impact this season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are one of several Championship sides interested in signing an international Premier League midfielder.
