Jack Harrison to jet out ‘in the next few hours’ as multi-million Leeds agreement reached

Jack Harrison is preparing to travel before completing his Leeds United exit.

Harrison looks set to leave Leeds in January, eight years after his initial loan spell at Elland Road from Manchester City.

Minutes are going to be limited for the Englishman, and with the signing of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton on Thursday, his chances will only be hampered further.

It makes sense for Harrison to find a new home away from Leeds, and it looks as if he has done exactly that.

Harrison appears ready to join Fiorentina, with the wide man expected in Italy now to complete a winter switch.

Jack Harrison jetting out ahead of Fiorentina move

Harrison has agreed a move to Fiorentina as a surprise move to Serie A emerged earlier this week, with progress being made quickly ahead of an exit.

The Englishman has been linked with a departure previously, but it seems as if a move to Florence is edging ever closer.

Sky Sports in Italy has reported that a deal has been finalised by all parties, with the 29-year-old now expected in Florence “in the next few hours”.

This could see the ex-Everton loanee become I Viola’s third signing of the January transfer window, with Manor Solomon’s Italian move already confirmed.

Harrison is now on his way to Florence before putting pen to paper on an initial loan agreement with an option to buy for around £6million.

Facundo Buonanotte has already replaced Harrison at Leeds United

The change to a five at the back formation with two centre-forwards has always represented bad news for the wingers in West Yorkshire.

Wilfried Gnonto is a talent, so he will pick up minutes where possible, but Harrison’s opportunities were always going to drop off after a tactical tweak.

That has seen Bounanotte come in to plug gaps in midfield and potentially as a second striker alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Argentine is now on loan from Brighton, so will likely demand a fair share of minutes at Elland Road, pushing the likes of Harrison aside.

A departure makes total sense for the winger, with a potential £6m fee representing a superb piece of business for the Whites this winter.
