Jack Harrison set to join Everton on loan in double deal at Goodison – Fabrizio Romano

Everton are now working on confirming an agreement with Leeds United for Jack Harrison after finalising terms for Aston Villa’s Tim Iroegbunam, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer expert shared via his personal X account on Thursday (20 June) that Iroegbunam will head to Goodison Park in a £9million deal should he pass his medical.

Focus will then turn to getting a deal for Harrison over the line, with the winger set to depart Leeds on loan for a second successive season.

Leeds United miss out on Jack Harrison transfer fee

As per a clause in Harrison’s contract, the attacker is able to leave Elland Road on loan once again this coming season.

While that means his wages will be off Leeds’ books, it also means the club miss out on landing a transfer fee of any sort.

Harrison still has four years to run on his contract, so there is still hope of landing a fair sum of money for him in 12 months’ time.

However, that is dependent on how he performs at Goodison Park in 2024-25. A good season will see his valuation rise; a disappointing campaign will put clubs off making an offer at all.

It is a risky one, but this is the route the club opted to go down when staring Premier League relegation in the face the season before last.

Everton have got themselves a player now established in the Premier League and a player who seems very talented in Iroegbunam for a combined fee of £9m.

As for Leeds, this is hardly a blow as they always knew they would not have Harrison to call upon this season.

Losing the likes of Willy Gnonto and particularly Crysencio Summerville, though, will be harder challenges to overcome.
