Jack Clarke’s agent shares Leeds United transfer admission

Ian Harte has backed Leeds United for promotion this season and expects more signings at Elland Road before the 30 August deadline.

Daniel Farke reportedly wants to add three more players to his squad following the signing of Largie Ramzani, in the remaining days of the transfer window.

The former Leeds player turned agent, with clients such as Leeds-linked Jack Clarke [iNews], spoke to Football League World [23 August] and backed his former side to make the appropriate improvements to aid their promotion aspirations this season.

He said: “I think Daniel Farke has a proven track record.

“He’s a top, top quality manager. But, of course, losing players like Gray, Summerville, and Rutter is a blow.

“There’s obviously a bit of disappointment from last season and getting beaten in the [play-off] final.

“I expect them to [get promoted], because there is enough quality in that squad. They have Premier League experience as well.

“I think, obviously, over the next few days that they are going to be trying to recruit certain players in positions.

“But I think it will be exciting times and Leeds fans will be getting right behind the team.”

Leeds United will be active in the final days of the transfer window

Leeds supporters had grown frustrated with the lack of transfer activity at the club but hope has been restored with the acquisition of Ramazani from Almeria.

With another attacker, centre-midfielder, and full-back still on the agenda, it is set to be a hectic few days at Elland Road.

The Crysencio Summerville replacement is finally secured but there is still the matter of finding top-quality recruits to replace Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter.

The Whites need to accelerate their plans as clubs will be all too aware of the approximate £100m war chest the club has recouped from sales, which the supporters will be eager to see invested into the side.

Leeds have carried their disappointing end-of-season form into the new campaign, Farke has failed to win his opening two Championship matches and crashed out of the Carabao Cup with a shocking 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

There will be many among the Leeds faithful who can’t wait to see the back of the transfer window and see the focus return to the pitch.

Despite the Whites boasting one of the strongest squads in the division there is still work to be done on the side to transform their promotion aspirations into reality this season.
