‘It could be on; Orta masterplan’ – Many Leeds fans think Jan deal on after rivals make signing
Leeds United were linked with a shock move for prolific winger Jarrod Bowen on Thursday by the Sun, and a new development on Friday afternoon has given fans extra ammunition that it might get done.
Hull City announced that they had signed a new winger and it turned out to be none other than former Leeds player, Mallik Wilks.
He’s left Barnsley to join Hull on a loan until the end of the season, and the club have an option to make that move permanent.
Wilks only made one appearance for Leeds but showed a lot of promise when he was with us.
However, is the signing of Wilks really going to make Bowen available? We’d have major doubts about that, with left-winger David Milinkovic, who’s only made 12 appearances since joining in 2018, likely to be out of the door before Bowen.
However, you never know. There are plenty of Leeds fans who think it could be on and it would be pretty ironic if Wilks came back to help Leeds like this.
One fan even incorporated the possibility into the Leeds song saying, “It could be on pump it up, the Whites are going up”.
We think it could be a case of fans getting too excited on a Friday afternoon which has been very quiet in terms of new Leeds transfer developments.
