Isaac Schmidt makes Leeds United exit decision in new transfer admission
Isaac Schmidt departed Leeds on loan in the summer window.
Recruitment was a huge talking point for Leeds throughout the summer, and a lot of it concerned outgoing players.
Patrick Bamford had his contract terminated at Leeds, while several others were afforded temporary or permanent moves away from Elland Road.
Schmidt was one of those who departed, with the Swiss international joining Werder Bremen on loan.

Isaac Schmidt wants to join Werder Bremen permanently
Since joining in 2024, Schmidt’s time at Leeds has been miserable for all parties.
The 25-year-old made just 14 appearances in his debut season, many of which arrived from the bench, before it became apparent that he would have no part to play in the Premier League.
A loan move to Werder Bremen would ensue for the defender, with it believed that the German outfit holds the option to make it a permanent deal for a fee in the region of £3million.
In his only appearance for Werder Bremen, Schmidt was on the scoresheet, and in an interview with Bild on 11 September, he made his intentions to stay there clear.
“I’m currently looking for an apartment so I can really settle in Bremen,” he said.
“I’d like to play for Werder for a longer period. That’s my big goal. Of course, I know that a lot will depend on my performance here.”

How Leeds move failed for Isaac Schmidt
Schmidt failed to start a single game for Leeds last season in the Championship, and while a lot of that was down to the form of Jayden Bogle, a lot was also down to the lack of ability he showcased.
His only two starts for the Whites came in the FA Cup, when Daniel Farke opted to rotate his side heavily.
From then on, it was clear that his future was already dim, and concerns of his own were starting to emerge over the lack of involvement.
With James Justin and Gabriel Gudmundsson both moving to Elland Road this summer, that gametime will have become even more limited, leaving an exit as the only real option.
