‘Is he limping already?’ – Many Leeds fans worried by video clip of player arriving for medical

Leeds United fans are worried that Rodrigo is carrying an injury after he was spotted arriving for his medical on Wednesday morning.

Spanish news outlet Onda Deportivo uploaded a clip of the Valencia striker, 29, arriving at a medical facility ahead of joining Leeds in a club-record deal.

The footage shows Rodrigo arriving by car before walking in the car park.

However, eagle-eyed Leeds fans have noticed that the Spain international appeared to be limping as he made his way to the medical facility in Valencia.

That has led to some concerns among Leeds supporters on Twitter after The Athletic journalist Phil Hay relayed the clip of Rodrigo.

Although, some are just hoping that the ex-Benfica striker has a strut in his step because he knows he’s about to sign for one of the biggest clubs in England.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Rodrigo does have a plentiful injury record.

According to transfermarkt, he has had three knee injuries just in 2020 which saw him miss 13 matches.

He also missed parts of last season with a back injury and “muscular problems”.

Rodrigo missed the final few games of Valencia’s 2019/20 campaign due to a knee injury, with the club confirming he suffered a “partial tear to the lateral collateral ligament of his right knee” in the 2-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on July 1.

There’s every chance he’s still recovering from that setback and while his injury will be documented and noted by the medical staff, it shouldn’t be anything that prevents him from joining the Whites.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this Arsenal midfielder on loan.
