Ipswich Town ‘concern raised’ amid Leeds United and Omari Hutchinson tease
Leeds United will replace Ipswich Town in the Premier League next season, and this could mean they even poach some of their best talents.
Leeds will be back in the Premier League for the first time since 2023, but they will be well aware of the challenge that awaits them.
Since Leeds were last relegated, every single side promoted from the Championship has gone straight back down, and Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich side recently had their relegation confirmed.
Winger Omari Hutchinson was one of their best performers, and he has now been touted as someone Leeds should try to sign.

Lee Hendrie calls for Leeds to sign Hutchinson
Aston Villa legend and pundit Lee Hendrie has now claimed that Hutchinson should be a target for promoted sides coming into the Premier League next season.
“I think that will [a potential exit] be the case with a lot of the players who have had a taste of Premier League football, Omari Hutchinson being one of them,” Hendrie told Football League World (29 April).

“I think it really dejected the club in so many elements because lots of players were disappointed they couldn’t go, and that was a counter-effect on the way Luton’s season went.
“Lots of teams now have seen some of these players come up against top Premier League sides and perform, Hutchinson is one of them. Bright sparks and potential, it might be one of the clubs that are going up that might take a fancy and a hit on him.
“He’s had a decent season himself and I’m always concerned about teams getting relegated who have key player, because that’s when you find they walk out the door as they see potential of being back in the Premier League.”

Leeds have other priorities to focus on than Hutchinson
Hutchinson is a top prospect and was impressive at Portman Road, scoring three and assisting twice in 27 appearances as a 21-year-old in a relegation side.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea youngster offers speed and a lot of flair on either wing, but while he could be a good asset and long-term investment, Leeds have other priorities.
Leeds already have a strong collection of wingers in Willy Gnonto, Dan James and Largie Ramazani, and could also look to keep Manor Solomon.
Hutchinson would not come cheaply, and Leeds will need to prioritise a goalkeeper and a striker before they sign another winger.
Players at the relegated sides might be worth targeting though, with a season of Premier League football under their belts, and Leeds should certainly look at the Ipswich squad for any potential bargains.
