Fikayo Tomori is being linked with a loan move to join Leeds United and it is a deal that plenty of Chelsea supporters would like to see happen.
According to Football Insider, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have turned their attention to the out-of-favour Chelsea defender ahead of the January transfer window.
Tomori was a regular under Frank Lampard last season and impressed during his maiden Premier League campaign.
The same cannot be said for this season following the arrival of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain, who has been a mainstay at the back alongside Kurt Zouma.
The 22-year-old has made just one appearance off the bench in the Premier League this season – coming on against Liverpool all the way back in September – but remains highly thought of at Stamford Bridge.
Bielsa previously suggested he did not want to sign a new central defender in January, but the Whites have seen both Diego Llorente and Robin Koch ruled out with injuries in recent weeks.
The latter is expected to miss around three months of football after undergoing knee surgery.
Llorente’s injury is not believed to be as serious, but it could still tempt Bielsa to consider his options after using Luke Ayling as a makeshift central defender during the 2-1 defeat to West Ham.
Lampard has played down any suggestions of a falling out with Tomori, hailing the 22-year-old as a ‘fantastic‘ defender, having previously managed him while at Derby County as well.
Despite the long-term rivalry between the two clubs and the recent history between Bielsa and Lampard, many Chelsea fans would be eager to see Tomori join Leeds.
Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter, with some of these supporters on social media describing it as an ‘incredible’ opportunity.
Let him go. He’s not playing at Chelsea and Leeds play good revolutionary football not no brexit ball like Burnley

That would be good. The one disadvantage of fik is that he makes mistakes on the ball and in a Leeds side where they are encouraged to pass quick and smart, he'll learn a lot.
