Immediate Jorgen Strand Larsen to Leeds United update as Crystal Palace collapse close
Jorgen Strand Larsen’s future is still not decided amid retained interest from Leeds United.
Leeds have not been quiet about their interest in signing Strand Larsen this winter, as Daniel Farke eyes the perfect partner for Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the system that has brought the Whites plenty of success.
Though the same can be said for several Premier League clubs, including the likes of Crystal Palace and Everton, who have both been mooted with an interest in the Norwegian.
News broke on Thursday stating that Palace had agreed a deal for Strand Larsen, only for it to be reported hours later that a move was falling apart as a result of the bid never actually happening.
That may have opened the door for the 49ers to make one final push for the striker, and perhaps at a discounted rate.

Leeds retain strong interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen
Strand Larsen has all of the attributes needed to thrive alongside Calvert-Lewin, and perhaps even step in for him should the Englishman need a rest or worse, suffer injury.
However, it became clear that Leeds would not go beyond £40million for Strand Larsen, and when it was reported that Palace had agreed a £50m deal, it seemed like it was going to be another what-if type of saga.
But if that deal has fallen through, as the latest reports suggest, Leeds may actually be able to sign him for even cheaper.
It’s clear that Strand Larsen wants to move away from Wolves, and Graham Smyth has reiterated the point that Leeds remain keen on a deal if an opportunity presents itself that “makes sense” for them.
Leeds could make a new, improved bid for the Norwegian as a last resort, and given the situation Wolves are facing, they may have little choice but to accept it at this stage.

49ers must steer clear of summer repeat at Leeds
Leeds are still well placed to avoid relegation from the Premier League, but a failure to add another striker to their ranks would only make that task harder.
And it was the same case in the summer.
Strand Larsen won’t come cheap – that much is evident – but for a proven Premier League goalscorer to be available at this stage in the window is an opportunity that can’t be missed.
The Whites will undoubtedly stick to their stance of not wanting to overpay, but if Palace have dropped out of the race, and other clubs are yet to show concrete interest, then the door is open for them to make one final push.
The 49ers Enterprises cannot make the same mistake again.
