'I'll drive Radz, Kinnear and Orta myself' - Some Leeds fans excited by striker transfer report

Leeds United fans are very excited by a report which says that Watford will let Andre Gray head to Elland Road on loan for a £2million fee.

Football Insider have reported that the 28-year-old is available to join the Whites on loan until the end of the season but it will cost the Yorkshire club a £2million fee up front, as well as his £80,000-a-week wages in full.

In total, the deal will cost Leeds around £4million – and that is why Football Insider reports that the Championship giants have been priced out of the deal.

It does look tempting because Gray is a proven goalscorer at Championship level and a £2million fee seems fair.

However everyone forgets about the wages and how they really make transfer deals a lot harder to complete as, in this case, it doubles what Leeds would have to pay.

Marcelo Bielsa needs a new centre-forward signed up before the end of the month and unfortunately, it does not seem as though Gray is going to be that player.

A lot of Leeds fans are happy with the report about Gray but they will no doubt be gutted to see the full picture.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has been backed into a corner by this player’s idiocy.
