Igor Paixao ready to sign for Leeds United as personal terms update drops

Leeds United will need more firepower if they are to remain in the Premier League, and that is exactly what they are targeting.

The Elland Road club did possess a creative spark with Manor Solomon, but he has returned to Tottenham following his Leeds loan.

Igor Paixao is a player who has been linked with a move to the Yorkshire outfit, and his numbers make for impressive reading at Feyenoord.

If the newly promoted side can pull off such a deal, then it will boost their goal threat, and they have received a welcome update.

Paixao open to Leeds United switch on one condition

Leeds and Brighton have enquired about signing Paixao, who has impressed in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord.

It has been reported that the Brazilian attacker will not come cheap as the Dutch club have set an asking price of £33million for his services.

The 24-year-old has 37 goal contributions in all competitions this season as Feyenoord finished the campaign in third, nine points behind champions PSV Eindhoven.

Paixao is open to a switch to Elland Road should a suitable offer arrive, according to Leeds Live.

They claim that sources close to the forward would consider a switch to the Whites under the right personal terms.

However, the Whites are not thought to have made contact yet despite contrary reports about the switch.

The 24-year-old only extended his contract in Rotterdam last November, meaning his current deal runs until 2029.

Leeds must prioritise Paixao deal

The Whites have been missing a Brazilian spark ever since Raphinha departed for Barcelona all those years ago.

Indeed, Paixao could follow in his footsteps if the Yorkshire outfit can secure a deal for the promising winger.

Leeds have received a £120million investment boost, meaning they have money to spend, but Paixao would cost around a quarter of that.

However, £33million for a player with his goal record seems like a fair price, and Farke’s team must add more goals.

Given the level of competition for Paixao’s services, Leeds face a battle to sign him, but he would be worth the significant outlay.
