Igor Paixao ‘destined for Leeds United’ after transfer news straight from Italy
Igor Paixao’s proposed move to Leeds has gained significant traction over recent days.
Leeds now look to have outbid Marseille for the Brazilian winger, with his arrival at Elland Road edging ever closer.
Paixao, 25, would be the biggest addition to Daniel Farke’s squad so far ahead of the Whites’ return to the Premier League, with the winger recording 16 goals and 10 assists last season in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord.
Reports from Italy are set to give Leeds fans more hope that the talented winger will ply his trade in LS11 next season, with other clubs set to move on to other targets.

Roma to explore other options with Paixao on the verge of Leeds
Following Manor Solomon’s return to Tottenham after his loan spell, United fans could not imagine that their once-star man could soon become an afterthought if Paixao were to sign.
Roma were said to be one of the clubs in the race for the Brazilian’s signature, but this no longer appears to be the case.
La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported in its print edition (28 July, pg 13) that Roma have begun to look at other wingers with Paixao “destined for Leeds”.
Fabio Silva, Antonio Nusa and Christos Tzolis have all emerged as new options for the Serie A outfit to bolster their options out wide, with Leeds set to beat them to their primary target.
The fact that clubs are beginning to move on from Paixao implies that the Brazilian could be seen holding up a white shirt in an announcement very soon.

49ers showing aggression in the market
Despite the wide areas containing some of Leeds’ best players, the fact that a new winger is being brought in shows just how aggressive the 49ers, Adam Underwood and Farke plan to be in the remainder of this window.
They have already proven that there is no place for sentiment in the Premier League, with Patrick Bamford being told to pack his bags and find a new club.
The competition for places the signing of Paixao will create will force the likes of Dan James and Willy Gnonto to raise their levels for the new season, if they want to find themselves playing regular minutes.
