'I'd be very upset', 'Don’t let him go' - These PL fans react as Leeds reportedly eye 23y/o deal

One way to tell whether or not your club is going to sign a good player is to gauge the opinion of fans who support the club your team is trying to strike a deal with.

On Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported that Leeds United have eyed up a summer swoop to sign West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen, who is currently on loan at Charlton.

Cullen, 23, has impressed at the Valley this term and based on the reaction of some West Ham fans on Twitter, Leeds are onto a winner in their pursuit of the Republic of Ireland international.

West Ham have one of the best academies in English football and English-born Cullen is a product of that.

However he’s only made nine first-team appearances for the Hammers and spent a lot of time out on loan where he’s played for Bradford, Bolton and currently Charlton.

Although Charlton are struggling in the Championship, Cullen has been a stand-out player for them and West Ham fans can see that they would be losing a bright young player if Leeds signed up the Ireland international in the summer.

That can only bode well for the Whites, who may need to strengthen their central midfield options ahead of a campaign in the Premier League next season.
