Michael Cuisance has overtaken Rodrigo De Paul as the player that Leeds United fans want to see sign next.

And a move could be very close after Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano said personal terms had been agreed on a five-year deal.

Later on Tuesday, Phil Hay reported that Leeds had reached agreement with Bayern Munich on a deal said to be worth £20m.

It’s fair to say that most fans didn’t know much about Cuisance before the player was strongly linked with Leeds but the buzz is real and plenty of people have talked him up.

Sky Sports pundit Michael Bridge said his contact in Germany had compared the youngster to Man United legend Michael Carrick saying, “Good vision, good technique, and someone who can spot a pass’. Very exciting.”

MOT Leeds News sister stats site All Stats Aren’t We are very hot on the move, too, and Leeds fans have picked up on the excitement.

But, if Leeds fans are excited about the prospect of Michael Cuisance, spare a thought for the poor Bayern Munich supporters.

There are some who are distraught at the prospect of losing Cuisance, with one saying selling him was “absolute madness”.

Another said it would be seven years before Bayern won the Champions League again, with players departing and no one coming in.

One Leeds fan asked if he was “decent then?” The Bayern fan replied, “He’s incredibly talented”. That will do for us.

It’s an incredible turnaround for Leeds. 16 years in the wilderness and just three games into life back in the Premier League, and Bayern Munich fans are upset that we’re signing one of their best young players. It’s giddy times for Leeds fans.
