Helder Costa may have another 11 days to seal Leeds United after Daniel Farke talks
Helder Costa may still have another 11 days to seal an exit away from Leeds United following talks with Daniel Farke about his future.
LeedsLive reported on 7 September that the Angolan international, who spent last season on loan with Al-Ittihad, has informed the Whites boss that he wants to leave the club.
Although the Saudi transfer market closes on Thursday (7 September), the Qatari window is open until 18 September, with The Athletic journalist Phil Hay revealing on The Square Ball podcast on 18 August that he expects the 29-year-old winger to make the move back to the Middle East.

Has to go
It feels like Costa really has to be moved on after he told Farke that he doesn’t want to be at Leeds anymore following his return to the club over the summer.
The Whites manager really doesn’t need to have a player on his hands that isn’t in his plans and has no real desire to play under him at Elland Road.
There doesn’t appear to have been much interest in the Algolan, though, after he scored just three goals in 18 appearances while on loan in the Saudi Pro League last season.

It’s going to be difficult for the attacker to secure a move back to Saudi Arabia on Thursday because he is currently away on international duty, leaving the Qatari league as one of his last remaining options.
Once he returns to West Yorkshire next week, the talks will probably ramp up over his potential exit as both the club and the player will likely be keen to find a deal to move him on.
In other Leeds United news, one player’s place in the starting lineup could be under threat following a development.
