Graham Smyth reveals when Jayden Bogle might make first Leeds United appearance
Jayden Bogle will join Leeds United for their training camp in Germany and may make his friendly debut during the trip, according to Graham Smyth.
The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported on Saturday (20 July) that the Whites are set to jet to Daniel Farke’s homeland on Sunday (21 July) and the Sheffield United defender will join them there.
Leeds will play two pre-season friendlies whilst in Germany, but supporters have been asked not to travel with both fixtures unfortunately being played behind closed doors.
The Whites have managed to agree a £5million deal with the Blades for Bogle and the 23-year-old is expected to complete a medical with Farke’s side on Saturday morning [John Percy, 20 July].
Will Leeds United sign Jayden Bogle in the summer transfer window?
Right back was always going to be a problem area for Leeds United and Farke this summer, particularly with Archie Gray, Connor Roberts and Rasmus Kristensen all leaving Elland Road in some capacity.
While Sam Byram is more than capable of flourishing on that flank, the former Norwich man has had a poor injury record throughout his career and simply cannot be relied upon to play every game of a Championship season.
Bogle was one of the few players to come away from Sheffield United’s dreary Premier League campaign with any sort of credit last term as the 23-year-old impressed as Chris Wilder’s side sunk back into the Championship.

Hopefully, he will be able to continue to develop during his time at Elland Road. Farke tends to get the best out of his defenders and he will be hoping to take Bogle’s game to the next level this season.
It can only be a positive that the right-back will be joining Leeds for their pre-season tour.
He may have missed the first few weeks of preparation for the new season, but he has plenty of time to get to know his new teammates off and on the pitch.
