Leeds United to complete three new signings before 30 August

Graham Smyth believes that Leeds United will complete three new signings before the end of the transfer window.

Reporting via X on 3 August, Smyth shared that he thinks Leeds will sign at least a winger, a full-back and a new number-eight.

Each of the three mentioned positions could prove vital for the Whites to focus on this summer if they wish to gain Premier League promotion by the end of the term.

“That’s what I think it needs and I think they’ll at least do a winger, a full-back and an eight,” he wrote.

Leeds United need to replace their outgoing players

Daniel Farke has been a busy man this transfer window, there have been a plethora of names both exiting and arriving Elland Road across the summer.

One of the biggest names to have departed the club is that of Archie Gray. The defensive-midfielder generated the West Yorkshire outfit a fee worth around £30million [BBC Sport] and helped them abide by the EFL’s PSR regulations.

Whilst Gray’s money no doubt went to balancing the clubs’ books, players such as Glen Kamara, Diego Llorente and now Crysencio Summerville have all exited or are close to doing so [Florian Plettenberg, 3 August].

With this influx of cash getting put into the club, there’s no reason why the Whites can’t start to enter the market and bring in some big names to help boost their promotion hopes.

The 49ers Enterprises have worked hard to make sure any names that they are targeting rarely get leaked to the media, so any new incomings could come out of nowhere in the next month.

In other Leeds news, the Whites may look to repeat their Crysnecio Summerville trick with a new transfer this summer.
