Glen Kamara signs as Leeds United player with transfer done – Fabrizio Romano

Glen Kamara has officially signed as a Leeds United player late on Thursday evening [31 August], according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist reported via his Twitter account that the Finnish International had signed his contract to become a Leeds player, making him the second signing of the day after Ilia Gruev.

Daniel Farke has been eager to add to his midfield options this summer with Kamara a target for a majority of the transfer window [Scottish Daily Mail, 1 August] and they have finally managed to bring him to Elland Road.

Kamara hasn’t featured at all for Rangers this season, having been frozen out of the squad by Michael Beale as he looked to find his next club after Ibrox.

About time

Like the back-and-forth deal of Wilfried Gnonto this summer, this has felt like a deal that has rumbled on for far too long this summer, but it looks as though the Whites and Farke have finally got their man, barring some incredibly late slip-ups.

Leeds needed midfield reinforcement and they have now got it in abundance, there is every chance we see a completely different line-up at Elland Road on Saturday (2 September) when the Whites fave Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds United

Kamara will bring with him a wealth of domestic and international experience that will massively aid United in their push to reach the Premier League this season, after all, he was one of the stars of the Gers’ run to the Europa League final.

The 49ers have backed Farke excellently this summer and despite the mass exodus from Elland Road following relegation, Leeds are starting to look in excellent shape as the transfer window draws to a close.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have received a £20m bid for one star from a Premier League club
