Gjanni Alioski set to leave Leeds United at end of today
Ezgjan Alioski looks set to leave Leeds United today with the left-back failing to agree a new contract, according to LeedsLive.
Alioski, 29, has reportedly been offered the chance to stay at Elland Road but LeedsLive says he’ll officially become “a free agent officially when the clock strikes 12” tonight.
Leeds signed Alioski from Swiss outfit Lugano in 2017. He’s since played a major role in the Yorkshire club returning to the Premier League.

Who’s cutting onions?
We always said it would be a sad day when Alioski leaves Leeds and considering all the speculation about his future, we genuinely thought he’d end up agreeing to stay.
The 29-year-old has developed massively under Marcelo Bielsa and will be leaving Leeds having made 171 appearances in all competitions and scoring 22 goals.
During his time at Elland Road, he’s helped Leeds reach the Championship play-offs, eventually win the Championship title and promotion, played a big role in finishing ninth in the Premier League and represented North Macedonia at their first-ever major international tournament. He even scored!
Alioski is a credit to his country and to Leeds and we will miss him.
We totally understand why he’d want to go too.
It’s been widely reported that Leeds are signing Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo and he’s bound to take Alioski’s left-back spot in Bielsa’s squad.
Alioski will turn 30 next season and probably won’t want to be sat on a cold bench in Yorkshire during the winter.
A good move beckons for our bleach-blonde Duracell bunny of a left-back.
All the best, Gjanni.
