‘Get rid’, ‘Will personally drop him there’ – Some rival fans react to Leeds transfer update
Leeds United face Man United on Sunday in one of the games of the season and both clubs have been put back in the spotlight recently thanks to the Telegraph.
A report from earlier this week said that Leeds could make another attempt to take Dan James on loan in January – despite all noises coming out of Leeds saying that it’s going to be a quiet window.
To be fair, James is linked every single window so Leeds fans are used to it now.
The difference in this window is that a lot of Man United fans seem ready and willing to let him go.
After a solid start to his United career, James has gone backwards.
He hasn’t played a minute in the last six Premier League games for his club and hasn’t even made the matchday squad in three of the last six.
We know Marcelo Bielsa was a fan. And we know that when Bielsa is a fan of a player, his views rarely change, especially without having a go at seeing his vision through.
However, this is January, James hasn’t played much first-team football and Leeds are happy with their squad.
That all spells disappointment for these United fans who would love to see James make a move, with some optimistically saying that he could form part of a deal that would see Kalvin Phillips going the other way.
Nice try, lads.

Not all United fans feel the same, though, with one saying it would be “another shocker from us to let him go”.
Another said, “I believe we should let James leave to Leeds.”
