Frank comments telling amid ongoing Solomon to Leeds United return rumours

Leeds United’s pursuit of a winger seems to be rumbling on throughout the transfer window.

After agonisingly missing out on signing Igor Paixao in news that left the entire Leeds fanbase gutted, the 49ers are being forced to pick themselves up and evaluate other targets.

With Leeds manager Daniel Farke claiming that his side are “not ready” for the Premier League from an attacking standpoint after their pre-season fixture against Villarreal, reinforcements in the final third are a necessity.

Manor Solomon left Leeds after his loan spell last season, but the winger could be in line to make a sensational return to the Whites after Thomas Frank’s latest comments seemingly opened the door for a potential transfer.

Solomon deal could be on cards after Frank’s telling comments

Solomon, 26, was one of United’s key players last campaign as they won the Championship title after amassing 100 points.

His dramatic title-winning goal on the final day away at Plymouth is a memory that will live long in the memory of Leeds supporters, and now the Israeli winger could be set to make more memories with the West Yorkshire outfit.

With Son Heung-min recently announcing his departure from Tottenham, the path to the first team under the new manager, Frank, appeared to be open for Solomon.

However, Frank’s latest comments won’t have filled Solomon with much confidence regarding his future at Spurs.

Speaking to the press in Seoul before their pre-season fixture against Newcastle, Frank went into details about who he could choose to deploy on the left wing in the aftermath of Son’s departure.

Names Frank mentioned who could play on the left wing for him were:

Notably, Solomon’s name was left off this list as he may be forced to rethink his future in North London.

Leeds should look for alternatives for Solomon

Leeds must remove all sentiment aside when it comes to evaluating whether parting ways with a reported £20million would be wise for Solomon.

As previously mentioned, Solomon has struggled with injury issues in the past and has already suffered another one since returning to Spurs.

Alongside this, Leeds’ new transitional approach to attacking, which they are likely to adopt under Farke in the Premier League, may not be suited to Solomon’s qualities either, forcing Leeds to evaluate potential other targets this summer.
