Feyenoord board take ‘serious’ stance in pursuit of Leeds United ‘bad boy’ Crysencio Summerville
Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville doesn’t look set for a return to his boyhood club after the Feyenoord board has taken a “serious” stance on the club’s pursuit of him, according to SoccerNews.nl.
The Netherlands-based news outlet claims the Dutch side’s hierarchy have “doubts” about bringing the 21-year-old back to the club, where he created a “bad boy” reputation for himself as a youth player after being suspended for an altercation with a fellow teammate.
The report claims Feyenoord coach Arne Slot has spoken with the Whites player and believes he has “exceptional qualities”, but the club are unwilling to spend up to £12.8million on someone they sold for just £1.3million three years ago.

Hold on
If Leeds do receive a substantial offer for Summerville – something in the region of the almost £13million they are reportedly looking for – then it would be extremely difficult to turn down.
The Dutch youth international has three years left on his contract, so there is absolutely no pressure on the club to try and offload him unless he actively expresses a desire to leave.
In his 28 Premier League appearances last season, he showed that he is capable of playing in the top flight of England football, scoring four goals and registering two assists.

But if the Whites can manage to keep hold of him, he could be a standout player in the Championship and be a real asset in their bid to try and gain promotion again.
It’s so far unknown whether any offers will come in for him but, if they do, Leeds would do well to hold on to him unless they receive a hefty fee for his services.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are chasing a key player from another Championship club.
