Farke wants to sign Buendia again as Leeds line up stunning double deal
Daniel Farke hasn’t given up on signing Emi Buendia at Leeds United.
The Argentine was strongly linked with an Elland Road switch despite no deal going through in the winter window.
Instead, the 28-year-old opted for a move to Germany with Bayer Leverkusen, where he would go on to have nothing more than a bit-part role under Xabi Alonso.
Now, a return to Aston Villa is on the cards, with Farke continuing to show an interest as a double swoop is potentially lined up in LS11.

Farke wants Buendia at Leeds United
There is no surprise that the German coach would want to link up with the diminutive attacking-midfielder again after his spell at Norwich City.
The 48-year-old managed to get the best from the current Villa man throughout his spell at Carrow Road in the Premier League and Championship.
This saw the manager describe Buendia as “perfect” after signing for the Canaries on a free transfer from LaLiga side Getafe in 2018 [Canaries.co.uk].
Stat | Emi Buendia |

With that being said, a move to Elland Road in the summer could prove to make sense for all parties ahead of the Premier League season.
This has seen Ben Jacobs report (28 May) that the Whites still like Buendia with the summer window set to open in the coming weeks.
Leeds could sign the Argentine in a double deal as interest in Gustavo Hamer continues in West Yorkshire, as a Sheffield United exit looks increasingly likely.
Buendia and Hamer could transform Leeds United
It has to be said that the addition of the two attacking midfield options would represent a change for the Whites moving forward.
Moving from the pace and direct nature of Manor Solomon and Dan James to the technical ability of Buendia and Hamer would be a huge change.
This could suit the Premier League well, given both have prior experience with Aston Villa and Sheffield United, respectively.
It will certainly be interesting to see how the window plays out, but it is fair that this double signing would be exciting for the LS11 faithful this summer.
