Fabrizio Romano reveals how much Leeds United have sold Summerville to West Ham United for
Leeds United have sold Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United for more than £25million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist took to X on Wednesday (31 July) to share his famous “Here we go” message adding that a deal is now in place between both clubs for the sale of the 22-year-old.
Summerville has spoken to the Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui ahead of a move that will see him play in the Premier League next season.
Romano wrote: “Crysencio Summerville to West Ham, here we go! Deal in place between clubs for package in excess of £25m with add-ons.
“Summerville agreed on long term deal and he also spoke to Lopetegui ahead of move.
“Leeds United accepted the proposal and he’s now set to sign.”
Leeds United part ways with Summerville
Leeds United’s decision to part ways with Crysencio Summerville is a significant blow.
Summerville was a standout player last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists. His departure to West Ham leaves a huge gap in the squad, especially with the Championship season about to start.
The Whites were hoping to keep him, but Premier League interest proved too strong.
Losing Summerville means Daniel Farke is without one of his most effective attacking options. His ability to cut in from the left and create scoring opportunities was crucial.
Now, Leeds must scramble to find a replacement who can match his impact on the field. This move not only weakens the team but also sends a message that Leeds might struggle to keep their top talents.
For a club aiming for promotion, losing such a key player is a major setback that could affect their season’s ambitions.
In other Leeds news, a player was still spotted in Germany after the end of the club’s pre-season tour.
