Fabrizio Romano drops transfer update on Leeds United winger Jack Harrison

Leeds United are set to allow Jack Harrison to depart with Everton close to confirming another loan deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist has reported (19 June) that his return to Goodison Park is a “concrete possibility”, but details are still being clarified between the clubs.

This adds to an update from The Athletic who suggested (19 June) that the 27-year-old is close to returning to Goodison Park on yet another loan.

The Premier League outfit won’t pay a loan fee for Harrison but will cover all of his wages across the season.

Leeds United loan Jack Harrison back to Everton

Given Harrison’s age and injury history, this deal may prove to be a mistake if the Whites want to receive a transfer fee in the future.

He had an up and down campaign at Goodison Park where he missed plenty of games with various ailments.

This is similar to his spell with the Whites, where he was great when fit but he was available on an inconsistent basis.

If he is to have a similar where he is hardly able to feature then his transfer value is going to drop, which is a disadvantage to Leeds.

If they aren’t promoted at the second time of asking then they are going to have to make sales and Harrison would be a useful option to sell.

Daniel Farke will be hopeful that he has a positive season in the Premier League to boost his value and or stand him in good stead to feature under him the campaign after.

Leeds’ hand may have been forced with regards to this deal, with an agreement having already effectively been in place, but they are now left to rue that.
