Leeds United to sign Jonathan Rowe in rapid deal with Norwich – Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Leeds United could move “quite fast” in their pursuit of Jonathan Rowe.
Speaking to GiveMeSport on 6 August, Romano confirmed Leeds’ interest in the attacker and also stated that they have plenty of money to invest in their squad after the sales of Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray.
Romano also added that the Whites will definitely replace the Dutchman before 30 August.
“Yeah, he’s a possibility. It’s true that his name is one of the ones they are considering internally. At the moment, I’m told that still nothing is close to being done, but it’s a concrete possibility. For sure, they will replace Summerville,” Romano said.
“They are assessing all the options, but I think Leeds will be quite fast on this one, also because they made good money with Summerville and also with Archie Gray, so they have some money to invest, and they will surely do that.”
Jonathan Rowe would be a smart signing from Leeds United
Leeds have already undergone a lot of changes throughout the summer transfer window.
An overhaul of the Whites’ squad was expected after they failed to gain Premier League promotion after losing in the playoff final against Southampton.
The club have welcomed back Joe Rodon and has even added Jayden Bogle to their ranks in an attempt to replace their homegrown starlet, Gray.
Although the Championship season hasn’t yet started, the West Yorkshire outfit are one of the favourites to gain Premier League promotion this summer and should their transfer window continue as it has started, there’s no reason why they can’t stake their claim for the title.

Rowe only has a year left on his contract which could make a deal slightly cheaper than many expect.
And, despite getting injured towards the end of last season, the winger still managed to register 17 goal contributions.
Leeds has reportedly offered Norwich £7million for their ace [John Percy, 5 August] but further negotiations will likely be needed to secure a deal.
In other Leeds news, the Whites may look to repeat their Crysnecio Summerville trick with a new transfer this summer.
