Everything Leeds fans need to know about Harry Gray’s contract amid exit speculation
Harry Gray is the jewel of Leeds United’s academy.
Gray is currently on loan at Rotherham, getting his first proper taste of senior football away from Leeds with the League One outfit, and he is shining, as per the Sofascore data below.
His long-term Elland Road future is under question, with several top six teams interested in a transfer for the 18-year-old.
Here, MOT Leeds News takes a look at his contract situation, which should reassure Whites supporters.

Which Premier League rivals wanted to sign Gray?
Gray has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, to reunite with his brother, Archie, who signed for Spurs in a £40million deal in 2024.
Manchester City have also been credited with interest in the Thorp Arch hotshot, with Pep Guardiola’s side understood to be looking at a £40m deal.

That would match the fee that the Peacocks received for his older brother, and be a decent profit that would help their Profit and Sustainability position.

How long is Gray contracted to Leeds?
Leeds announced that Gray had signed his first professional contract in October 2025, so his future looks set to be in Yorkshire.
The LS11 club labelled it as a long-term deal, but did not specify the amount of time that he had signed on for.
However, he is understood to be tied down until 2028, the maximum allowed by FIFA regulations for under-18 players.
What has Gray said about his Leeds future?
Gray has made his desire to feature more for the Whites’ first-team in the future, seemingly brushing away any exit speculation.
Speaking in January, he opened up on why he joined the Millers and what it means for his senior ambitions.
He said: “I’m just a Leeds fan who happens to be a player.
“Before I was in and around it, I’d go to every game.
“It’s what I want to do, to play for Leeds, this is going to help me get there.”
What has Farke said about Gray?
Daniel Farke has made it clear that he will not rush Gray into first-team action, but he did admit that he was delighted that he has agreed fresh terms.
Speaking after the youngster signed his new deal, the German manager said: “It was relatively straightforward because we have big trust between not just Harry but also his whole family.
“We know how big the identification is.
“A cornerstone for our future is that promising players like Harry are signing new contracts because we also want to develop our own talents.
“For that, it was relatively straightforward, but when you have quality young players, it takes a bit longer until everything is negotiated.
“I’m pretty delighted it’s over the line and he could sign his first professional contract.”
The next thing for Leeds will be deciding how to utilise Gray to get him ready for the senior side, a loan in the Championship could be on the cards next season.
Then he may be ready, and he may make waves in the top-flight, but it remains to be seen whether his rise happens that quickly.
