Everything Leeds fans need to know about Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher as signing agreed
Leeds United could have a gem on their hands with Manchester United hotshot Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher.
The 49ers didn’t do much in the transfer window, but Paraag Marathe and Co. are clearly keen on improving the Whites’ future.
Leeds signed Leonard Ngenge from Nigerian side Remo Stars FC recently, and Ibrovic-Fletcher seems to be the next youngster set to come through the doors at Thorp Arch.
The-17-year-old will be coming to LS11 with a high reputation given his background with the Red Devils, as MOT Leeds News brings you everything you need to know about the starlet’s background.

The lowdown on Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher; he was born in Leeds
Leeds have agreed a deal with Man United for Ibrovic-Fletcher, and the teen has started following the Whites on Instagram ahead of the proposed move, with an announcement seemingly imminent.
It’s an out-of-the-window move which can be processed and authorised by the FA due to the stressed importance of youth development.
We’ve seen the likes of Crysencio Summerville come through the ranks at Thorp Arch, and Ibrovic-Fletcher could be next.
Ibrovic Fletcher factfile:
- Nationality: Serbian
- Date of birth: 26 September 2008
- Height: 5,8″
- Place of birth: Leeds
- Positions: Striker/attacking midfielder
Interestingly, the Serbian was born in Leeds, according to Transfermarkt, and will be returning home with his move to Elland Road.
He chooses to represent Serbia at international level, where he has played multiple times across different levels. His debut for Serbia’s U19s side came back in September, where he contributed to his country’s 3-1 win over Hungary.
Ibrovic-Fletcher has racked up 247 league minutes for Man United’s U18s this season, and has primarily played as a number nine.
The teenager has the ability to play in attacking midfield too, and his qualities allow him to play as a modern second striker, linking up play with teammates.
Ibrovic-Fletcher only joined Man United in 2025, following a short stint with Sheffield United, and after impressing this term, makes his move back to Leeds.
What the rules say about when Ibrovic-Fletcher can start playing at Thorp Arche
Leeds will be keen to get Ibrovic-Fletcher playing at Thorp Arch, and thankfully for them, they won’t have to wait long either.
As soon as he signs his contract with the Whites, he will immediately be eligible to play for the U18s side.
| Game | Date |
| Derby County’s U18s vs Leeds’ U18s | Saturday, 7 February |
| Liverpool’s U18s vs Leeds’ U18s | Saturday, 17 February |
| Leeds’ U18s vs Stoke City’s U18s | Saturday, 21 February |
If Daniel Farke were to be seriously impressed with the youngster’s performances, then he could even promote him to the first team this season.
Rules allow the seamless transfers of youngsters from academies, but senior eligibility is different, and Leeds would have to register the attacker.
Homegrown status does help, and Ibrovic-Fletcher wouldn’t take up a squad spot, but it doesn’t bypass registration requirements.
