Ethan Ampadu immediately reacts as Leeds United exit officially confirmed

Leeds United have had a slow start to the January transfer window in terms of incomings, but another exit has now been confirmed.

Facundo Buonanotte has moved to Elland Road from Brighton until the end of the season, becoming the Whites’ first signing this month.

Harry Gray and Devon Brockie have both departed on loan deals themselves as they look to develop away from the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side have now announced that a first-team player has left, in what could turn into a permanent move away from Leeds.

Jack Harrison’s Leeds exit officially confirmed

Jack Harrison has been linked with a Leeds exit over recent months, as he struggled to nail down a place in Farke’s starting line-up.

The 29-year-old has only started one Premier League game so far this season, with the German boss clearly preferring other options.

It became apparent that the winger was going to be moving to Fiorentina, on an initial loan deal with a £6million option to buy.

Harrison’s switch to Italy has now been officially confirmed, with the Italian side sharing a photo of him in his new colours on Instagram.

Fiorentina captioned the post: “Our new number 17,” with both Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach immediately liking it to show support for their now former teammate.

Who are Leeds targeting in the January transfer window?

Leeds are well on the way to confirming their Premier League survival, and have been brilliant since the beginning of December.

The Whites are now eight points clear of the relegation zone, after picking up 14 points from their last nine games.

Lukas Nmecha scored the winner on Saturday as Leeds beat Fulham 1-0 at Elland Road to continue their superb form.

It means that Farke’s squad doesn’t need a major overhaul, but there are still some targets before the window shuts.

Leeds have enquired about Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves, and are looking to sign a centre-forward if there is an attractive option.

Farke would also like to add a second attacking player if possible, but PSR concerns are still present.
