Done deal: Leeds have bid accepted for next new signing after Gudmundsson
Gabriel Gudmundsson became Leeds United’s fourth signing of the summer.
Daniel Farke’s squad is shaping up nicely ahead of their return to the Premier League, with Gudmundsson’s arrival the most recent at Elland Road.
The Swedish international has signed on a permanent deal from Lille, and will be a direct replacement for the departed Junior Firpo.
However, Leeds‘ summer business is far from over yet, and it could only be a matter of time until a fifth arrival is announced after a fee was agreed with another Premier League club.

Manchester City defender set for Elland Road move
Leeds have clearly identified their defence as a point of weakness this summer, having already made three new additions to the backline.
Sebastian Bornauw is the most recent of those three, though Jaka Bijol will spark the most excitement after his displays in Serie A last season.

However, yet another defensive signing could be on his way, after it was reported by The Athletic (8 July) that a fee has been agreed with Man City for the signing of Jayden Lienou.
The 17-year-old defender is the subject of a six-figure package from the Whites, with the Welsh international expected to join Leeds.

Premier League survival will hinge on Leeds business
Several more additions are still expected at Elland Road, making it crucial that they are now attackers and midfielders, with a goalkeeper also needed.
Anton Stach is one midfielder to have been linked, while several others have been mooted as targets to address the other key areas.
These next few weeks are going to play a deciding role in the success that Leeds find in the top flight next season, and they will not be afforded any margin for error when it comes to the decisions they make between now and the start of the campaign.
