Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay will not be expected to have any issues with his medical amid Leeds United links, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

Daily Mail reported in their print edition on 18 January that the Whites were reading a move for the 20-year-old Scottish right-back.

The injury expert claims that while he underwent knee surgery that kept him out of action for over a year, he will pass his medical without any issues.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Ramsay:

"He had to undergo a knee surgery that kept him out of action for over a year towards the end of 2022.

"This will likely not affect his medical, however, as failed medicals are rare and usually require a significant issue.

"While his injury required surgery, he appears to have returned to normal so it won't cause any issues for the team that wants to sign him."

Ramsay was on loan at Preston North End this season but was recalled by the Reds in the January transfer window.

Back in November 2022 he made his senior debut for Liverpool, coming on as a second half substitute against Napoli in the Champions League.

The 20-year-old has made just two league appearances this season, the most recent one coming on 12 January in a 2-0 defeat against QPR.
