Di Marzio: Leeds United exchange documents to wrap up signing of Bayern Munich ace Marc Roca
Leeds United are “one step away” from registering Marc Roca as their newest addition of the summer transfer window, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Writing via his personal website on 14 June, the Sky Sports Italy journalist reported that “the exchange of documents is underway between Bayern Munich and Leeds”.
It is understood that Roca, 25, will undergo a medical with Leeds and sign his contracts on Friday (17 June) ahead of joining in a deal starting at £8.6million.

Almost there
It seems like it’ll be a matter of time now before Leeds sign Roca.
Of course, it’s not quite a done deal yet.
Roca could still fail a medical or there could be an issue late on between the parties that are involved.
Leeds fans know just how it feels for a transfer to break down in the 11th hour as we’ve witnessed it with Daniel James and Michael Cuisance in the last couple of years.
However, the chances are that this deal will be done and dusted very soon and Jesse Marsch can say that he has his third signing as the Leeds United manager on board.

It’ll be interesting to see how Roca fits in the side if Kalvin Phillips stays this summer because the Spaniard, like the England star, is a deep-lying midfielder.
He’s great with the ball at his feet and can dictate the tempo of matches when he’s got his head up and looking forward.
But is there space for Roca and Phillips to play side by side? Or do Leeds need someone grittier and more physical alongside the Yorkshire Pirlo?
Marsch has shown he wants to play more defensive since replacing Marcelo Bielsa, who liked to play with a midfield pairing of Phillips and attack-focused Duracell bunny Matuesz Klich.
Maybe there’ll be a shift.
