Dharmesh Sheth and Kaveh Solhekol in bits live on Sky Sports after Leeds United-Forshaw update
Dharmesh Sheth and Kaveh Solhekol were in fits of laughter live on Sky Sports News on Wednesday after Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw’s name was mispronounced.
Sheth was sharing an update on the 30-year-old’s contract situation at Elland Road when he botched the midfielder’s name, saying it as though it was two words.
“Leeds United midfielder Adam ‘For sure’, Forshaw even,” said Sheth on Sky Sports News’ Transfer Show on Wednesday [05:19pm].
He and Solhekol then started laughing over the mispronunciation of Forshaw’s name.
Sheth then fought through the laughter to add that Forshaw “is close to signing a new deal”.
He added: “His current contract runs out this summer, for sure.”
Sheth and Solhekol may find each other funny but come on, but some respect on Forshaw’s name.
The 30-year-old has been outstanding for the Whites this season.
He returned from almost two years of injury hell back in August when he played against Crewe in the Carabao Cup.
Forshaw suffered another small setback after that return and had to battle his way back to match fitness – but now he’s one of the fittest players in the league.
If the world is two-thirds water then Forshaw has covered the rest of it this season with the ex-Middlesbrough ace looking like a Duracell bunny whenever he plays.
Forshaw pushes himself so much and looks so fit that you couldn’t believe this is a player who spent so long injured.
He’s arguably one of Leeds’ best players this season and we really feel he deserves this new contract.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites could make use of a loophole to avoid breaking FFP rules this month.
