Leeds United close to triple new transfer, bid ready for Glen Kamara too
Leeds United are close to three new transfers with Swansea striker Joel Piroe, Nadiem Amiri from Bayer Leverkusen, and Genk winger Joseph Paintsil all set to join the club before the transfer window closes, according to Dean Jones.
The journalist reported that Thursday [24 August] and Friday [25 August] are being viewed as key dates for Leeds, with a bid for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara also ready to be lodged.
Leeds are set to be busy in the next week in a display of the urgency they face to make sure their successful business is done before the transfer deadline on 1 September.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT on 24 August, the former Eurosport journalist shared: “Thursday and Friday this week are viewed as really key days for Leeds with a bid for Kamara ready to be lodged but other serious interest in players also being stepped up.
“They are close to three other deals that I know of and those are Amiri, Piroe and Paintsil from Genk.
“I have it on good authority that those are being worked on. But of course, there are additional names also being linked and I think it all reflects upon the urgency Leeds are in to make sure the success of their transfer business does not go all the way to deadline day.”

Gamechanger
If Leeds can pull off all four of the deals Jones has suggested they are in for, it looks set to be a busy week at Elland Road, and it would be a huge signal of intent to the fans in their hopes of promotion this season.
Each player would be a game-changer in themselves with the level of talent being targeted of a different level to that which the Yorkshire club currently have at their disposal.
Piroe scored 41 goals throughout two seasons for Swansea City in the Championship, the sort of form that Leeds feel could fire them straight back to the Premier League, as he would fill their desperate need for a striker better than anybody could expect.
Amiri, meanwhile, will plug a gap in the number 10 role where Leeds are also lacking talent, with a new creative force to provide both goals and assists. He will bring a new dimension to their game which isn’t provided by the current options for that position.
Lastly, Paintsil will provide the club with an exciting burst of pace from the wing, as well as another source of goals and assists having recorded a stunning 28 combined goal contributions in the Belgian Pro League last season.
