Daniel Farke transfer wish shared after Leeds United take summer spend past £100m

Daniel Farke has welcomed plenty of new faces to Leeds United this summer as he bolsters his squad for the Premier League.

James Justin has become Leeds’ tenth signing of the summer, with the defender set to provide much-needed depth at full-back following his arrival from Leicester City.

The thrashing Leeds received at the hands of Arsenal over the weekend was a real eye-opener when it came to the holes that still remain in Farke’s squad, despite bringing in 10 new bodies and spending over £100million.

It seems Farke is also aware of this, with the German manager still wanting more reinforcements before the window slams shut next Monday.

Daniel Farke keen on adding two more attackers

United’s attack was pitiful in their trip to the capital, with the likes of Dan James and Joel Piroe failing to make any meaningful impact on the game.

According to The Athletic’s Beren Cross on X (25 August), Farke is still keen to add two more attackers to his forward line.

The need for another striker and winger is still apparent, with Piroe and James in particular struggling to adapt to the step up in level during the first two games.

Leeds must be ruthless in remainder of summer transfer window

Whilst we are still early into the season, it is ultimately clear that the current front three of James, Piroe and Willy Gnonto are not good enough to be regular starters in the top flight.

Leeds have looked incredibly blunt going forward so far in their first two games, and it is up to Farke to put his faith in the likes of Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor as soon as possible to see if they are possible solutions to the issue.

The 49ers must live up to their promise of investing late in the window, or the Elland Road faithful must prepare for an incredibly long season with a forward line that is simply not good enough.
