Daniel Farke stance emerges as Leeds United can sign Harry Wilson for free

Daniel Farke remains a massive fan of Fulham winger Harry Wilson at Leeds United, who could be available on a free transfer soon.

The German manager wanted Wilson at Elland Road last summer, but despite late attempts from the Whites, they were unable to sign the forward, whom the 49-year-old head coach remains a “huge admirer” of.

As things stand, the Wales international’s current contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the season, with the Cottagers desperate to tie him down to a new deal.

Marco Silva has ruled out selling Wilson before 2 February, but the West London club risk losing him for nothing in the coming months.

Leeds United reignite Harry Wilson transfer pursuit

Leeds are set to make a renewed push to sign Wilson in the summer, according to SportsBoom.

The news outlet reports on 27 January that talks between the 28-year-old and Fulham over a new contract have stalled, with the winger once again being eyed at Elland Road.

It’s been claimed that Brentford, Everton, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also monitoring the Welshman’s situation, with an approach on the cards.

Wilson has been in inspiring form for Fulham, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 22 Premier League appearances.

Farke has signed Facundo Buonanotte in January, but the Argentine playmaker will leave the Whites once his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

It’s clear that the German manager feels the West Yorkshire outfit can do better in terms of their attacking options, and getting Wilson for free would be a no-brainer.

49ers Enterprises has Premier League priority before summer revolution

Farke is being let down by 49ers Enterprises, who evidently haven’t backed him in the winter window.

Leeds have sanctioned the exits of Harry Gray and Jack Harrison, with Buonanotte the only arrival coming through the door.

Before the new year, fans were desperate for the American owners to provide the German manager with quality reinforcements to cement their advantage in the Premier League.

As things stand, the West Yorkshire outfit are six points clear of the relegation zone with West Ham United putting a run of wins together, and the sole focus for the 49ers right now should be what they can do to help the German manager maintain top-flight status come the end of the season.
