Daniel Farke makes new Leeds United transfer promise live on Sky Sports

Daniel Farke issued a fresh transfer promise to Leeds United supporters after the 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday [23 August].

The Whites picked up their first win of the 2024/25 Championship campaign at Hillsborough thanks to goals from Brenden Aaronson and Daniel James.

Farke, in his post-match interview with Sky Sports [23 August], replied to whether Leeds supporters can expect more signings at Elland Road before the 30 August transfer deadline.

He said: “Yes, definitely.”

Leeds to attack the final days of the transfer window

The Whites are ready to accelerate their transfer plans heading into the final week of the summer window and leave Farke with the best possible squad to achieve their Premier League promotion aspirations this season.

Largie Ramazani was the first signing for Leeds since Jayden Bogle signed on 20 July and now the club are set to immediately follow that up with a move for Tottenham forward Manor Solomon [Paul O Keefe].

The mood around Elland Road was becoming bleak. No wins in the opening two league fixtures of the new season and a Carabao Cup humiliation in a 3-0 loss at home to Middlesbrough left the supporters feeling dejected.

Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter departing the club for huge fees made matters worse as clubs were alerted to the approximated £100m war chest the Whites now have to invest into their side.

Leeds remain favourites for automatic promotion this season despite their early-season blip. Their squad is brimming with players who have Premier League experience and the side, on paper, is still arguably the strongest in the division.

However, nothing is certain in the Championship, and the Whites will need to improve their side and fill the void left by the departures of their prized assets – a feeling shared by Farke, who is eager to deliver on his earlier promise and attack the closing days of the summer transfer window.
