Daniel Farke and 49ers in agreement as Leeds United eye Sean Longstaff transfer
Leeds United strengthened their grip on the Championship title by recording a 4-0 victory over Bristol City on Monday.
The Whites must match or better Burnley’s result on the final day of the season to clinch silverware, but the West Yorkshire giants must have a successful transfer window to survive in the Premier League next campaign.
Leeds should be confident of beating Plymouth on Saturday, as Argyle’s relegation is all but confirmed thanks to their woeful goal difference.
Meanwhile, both Farke and owners 49ers Enterprises have set their sights on signing Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.

Farke and 49ers agree on Longstaff despite differing transfer philosophies
Longstaff could be keen to quit Newcastle this summer, as he has made just eight starts in the Premier League this season.
According to The i Paper (28 April), the 49ers want to recruit using data, whereas Farke is keen to acquire battle-hardened players.
But Farke and the American owners agree over their desire to bring Longstaff to the Elland Road club this summer.

Longstaff could be a good signing for Leeds
Leeds showed their class when they dominated against playoff hopefuls Bristol City on Monday, further enhancing their Championship title credentials with just one game remaining.

Few would be able to argue against the fact that Farke’s men have been the best side in the second tier this season, notching a whopping 93 goals and playing a style of football which is very easy on the eye when they are at their best.
But the Premier League is an entirely different beast to the Championship, as demonstrated by the fact that this term marks the second campaign in a row when all three newly promoted teams have been relegated straight back to the second tier.
To survive in the top flight next season, Leeds must add tried and tested Premier League quality to their ranks, something which Longstaff certainly has.
The 27-year-old is out of favour at Newcastle now that they are chasing Champions League football, but he has made over 200 appearances for the North East outfit, with the majority arriving in the top tier.
