Daniel Farke desperate to sign Max Aarons with Leeds United transfer close

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is desperate to sign Norwich City defender Max Aarons, according to Pink Un.

The news outlet reported on its website on 9 August that the German tried to sign the 23-year-old when he was at Borussia Monchengladbach last season after previously working with him at Carrow Road.

It looks as though Farke will get his wish too with talks now advanced over a deal to sign the England youth international in the coming days.

Influential

It’s highly likely that Farke will be an influential figure in Aarons’ decision to join Leeds if he does complete his expected move to West Yorkshire.

The Norwich Evening News reported on its website on 9 August that the Whites are in pole position to land the defender in a deal worth up to £12million.

It’s no wonder Farke has been keen to take him to Elland Road after he was a near ever-present during the German’s time with the Canaries and because there has been so much interest in him over the years.

The right-back, who recently won the European Championships with England U-21s, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent times, but Norwich’s previous high price tag has put teams off making a move for him in the past.

That fee has been significantly lowered as he heads into the final year of his contract and it looks as though Farke may finally be reunited with him at Leeds this season.

In other Leeds United news, a defender could be heading out on loan to the Bundesliga.
