Crysencio Summerville Leeds United exit latest as Archie Gray transfer nears
Leeds United are now in a “stronger” position in regard to keeping hold of Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
Jacobs took to X on 29 June and stated that thanks to the imminent £40million transfer of Archie Gray to Brentford [Graham Smyth, 29 June], the West Yorkshire outfit are now “satisfied” that they will meet PSR this summer.
This means that in terms of exits, should any further offers come in for the Championship Player of the Season, Daniel Farke’s side will likely be able to demand a higher fee.
Crysencio Summerville staying at Leeds United is a game-changer
It goes without saying that both Gray and Summerville were among the best players in the Whites’ squad last term.
Since the transfer window opened, the main exit rumours from Leeds have been around the duo, with both commanding extortionate fees.
The fact that Leeds have managed to agree a deal in the region of £40m for an 18-year-old who hasn’t yet played in the Premier League is nothing short of astounding – albeit some fans still wanted more.
When considering Gray was played out of position at right-back for the vast majority of the season, he really is a generational talent.
However, the fact that Farke may now not be forced to sell Summerville is exactly what Leeds fans will want to hear.

Without the Netherlands Under-21s international last term, Leeds would’ve been nowhere near the top of the table and would have been far worse off.
The West Yorkshire outfit’s retainment of the winger would be the biggest boost in their push for top-flight promotion in the 2024/25 season yet.
In other Leeds news, the Whites have been given a potential boost in bringing Connor Roberts back.
