Brighton make approach to seal Crysencio Summerville transfer in new Leeds United update

Brighton have made an approach to sign Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Itallian journalist reported via X (17 June) that the Seagulls have made contact with the Whites over a deal for the winger.

It won’t be an easy deal for Brighton to complete but the initial talks have begun to explore the possibility.

Liverpool and Chelsea have also been monitoring Summerville, with Romano describing the transfer situation as “an open race.”

Will Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville leave Elland Road this summer?

It looks almost certain that Summerville will leave Leeds United this summer.

With the likes of Brighton, Liverpool, and Chelsea all mentioned, it is hard to see a move not materialising.

And it is equally just as difficult to see Summerville not accepting a move to a Premier League club.

Therefore Leeds must start planning for life without the 22-year-old. However, it is not all doom and gloom at Elland Road.

Selling Summerville could represent a very important cash boost for the Whites and the more sides that are interested the higher the fee they are likely to receive.

With Brighton having already made contact if Liverpool or Chelsea were now to step forward, that could lead to something of a bidding war for the player.

And that would come as a big benefit to those at Elland Road.

Therefore, there will be no rush to accelerate talks with Brighton as Leeds look to increase Summerville’s value by seeing what other clubs have to offer.

In other Leeds United news, the club have received a £40million boost at Elland Road.
