Brenden Aaronson to hold talks with Daniel Farke about early Leeds United return in January

Daniel Farke and Brenden Aaronson are set to hold talks about reintegrating the American into the Leeds United squad at Elland Road, according to TEAMtalk.

The attacker left for the Bundesliga after the Whites were relegated to the Championship, but has struggled to make an impact and Union Berlin are now considering cancelling his loan deal in January according to reports.

And now the player is set to hold talks with Farke about potentially returning to the squad with Farke open to the idea, but Aaronson could yet be sent out on loan elsewhere instead.

“Brenden Aaronson is set to hold talks with Leeds United manager Daniel Farke in the coming weeks about whether he may return to Elland Road in January,” they wrote.

“Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Farke is open to the idea of Aaronson returning to West Yorkshire, as he realises he could be a huge boost to their squad.

“If they do not agree on him returning to the Whites fold, they could look at other loan option for him.”

No thanks

Aaronson came to Elland Road with really high expectations of helping to make us a more stable Premier League side, but instead contributed to our relegation back to the Championship.

His performances were terrible for the most part, his commitment was questionable and then the fact he jumped ship at the very first opportunity in the transfer window proved that he didn’t care about the club at all.

If Leeds want to get back to the top flight at the first time of asking then we need to have a united squad and the chances of Aaronson coming back after a failed loan away and buying into that are slim to none.

The team would be far better off keeping him exactly where he is, but if he does need to return then another loan move elsewhere would be the best bet for everyone.

Hopefully he could find some form and create a market for himself so that the club can cash in during the summer window and wave goodbye for good.
