Borussia Dortmund eye Leeds United star Raphinha

Borussia Dortmund have sounded out Leeds United star Raphinha as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho, according to EuroSport.

The broadcaster claims Dortmund are eyeing up attackers ahead of the summer transfer window amid fears that Sancho, 21, could leave to join Manchester United.

It is understood that the Bundesliga giants are interested in Leeds’ Raphinha, as well as Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Lille’s Jonathan Ikone.

Leeds United

Oh no

We don’t want this – we really don’t want this.

Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta have built a very impressive team at Elland Road and Raphinha is arguably the most talented player among the lot.

The Brazilian winger has tore up the Premier League at times this season, scoring six goals and supplying nine assists in his 30 top-flight appearances in his debut year in English football.

Speaking to Football Insider earlier in the season, ex-Leeds striker Noel Whelan dubbed Raphinha as “sensational” when he produced a match-winning performance against Everton.

If we lose Raphinha then we’re definitely going to have a bit of a panic.

While we’d trust Orta to replace him with someone good, we really don’t want to see the club take that chance so it would have to take a monster offer to consider letting the ex-Rennes winger leave.

However, if Dortmund sell a superstar like Sancho then they’re going to have a lot of money to play around with.

In other Leeds United news, Sky Sports has made a claim about Rodrigo De Paul and the Whites.
