Bologna exit Calvin Ramsay chase amid Leeds United competition, sign Denso Kasius instead
Bologna have signed Denso Kasius having been forced to “raise the white flag” in the hunt for Leeds United target Calvin Ramsay report Il Resto Del Carlino.
The Aberdeen youngster is attracting interest from a whole host of clubs, and the Serie A side have found themselves unable to compete.
talkSPORT’s Alex Crook today reported that Watford had been added to the hunt, joining Manchester United (Daily Mail), with Tottenham, Southampton and Leicester all already interested, along with the Whites and, before their concession, Bologna.
Il Resto Del Carlino report that with “nothing to do on the loan offer with obligation of 3.5 million, in the face of the request for 6 million plus bonuses, Bologna raised the white flag.”
Despite going as far as £4.8million, Sinisa Mihajlovic’s said has stepped away and signed Dutchman Kasius from FC Utrecht.
The increased spending power of the English clubs allows them to all retain an interest, but so far United have not bid more than £3million.
Competition still high
The list of clubs in for the 18-year-old Scot has only continued to grow over recent weeks so it is notable to see it contract slightly for the first time.
Given how many sides with considerable Premier League spending power are looking to sign the young full-back it is surprising that the asking price has not yet been met.
