Birmingham want to seal late Joel Piroe transfer as Leeds United star in new contact
Joel Piroe is showing the perfect attitude at Leeds United.
Despite promotion to the Premier League not exactly turning out the way he wanted it to, the striker has kept his head down without making too much of a fuss.
Piroe is now facing significant January interest, with Celtic the latest to make contact at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has enjoyed great success with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, but all it takes is one injury to open the door again.
That hasn’t stopped Birmingham City from taking a shining though.
Joel Piroe reacts to latest transfer rumours
If going for promotion to the Premier League, there are no better strikers to have on your side than the Leeds number 10.
Voetbal International has reported that Piroe is “thriving” in LS11, despite his limited minutes.
The Dutch outlet states that Birmingham, as well as Southampton and Stoke, have now joined a group with significant interest in the Suriname international.

In regard to the Celtic links, it is said that the Scottish champions only made real contact with Piroe late on Tuesday evening, but were turned away.
The 49ers Enterprises are part-owners of Rangers, so that’s never going to happen.
On top of that, Piroe has also rejected all interest from the Championship.

Birmingham busy in transfer window ahead of FA Cup showdown
Ironically, Leeds have drawn Birmingham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Piroe may have said no, but the Blues have already signed two strikers in the January transfer window, so that may be a consequence of this rejection.
Birmingham beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Tuesday, but also confirmed the signing of August Priske from Djurgardens IF, a 21-year-old forward.

Leeds have approached to sign Jorgen Stand Larsen from Wolves, and his arrival may be the only way in which their current striker is forced out.
After another win against Fulham last time out, Leeds have all their attention on survival in the Premier League, with a quiet couple of weeks potentially on the cards.
