Marcelo Bielsa is refusing to offer any update on Leeds United’s pursuit of Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul and Dinamo Zagreb’s Josko Gvardiol.
According to Phil Hay’s latest update on The Athletic’s website, not much has changed with De Paul, 26, in recent weeks despite him declaring his interest in joining the Whites on Twitter.
Hay add that 18-year-old Gvardiol, a Croatia Under-21 defender, is “still possible”.
Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently added that personal terms have been agreed with Argentina midfielder De Pauil but a fee is yet to be agreed with Udinese.
On Thursday afternoon, Bielsa was asked about the two players in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s clash between Leeds United and Fulham.
As quoted by LeedsLive, Bielsa; “I don’t like to talk about speculation as a lot of things can happen. I would rather talk about players after they have arrived and not beforehand.”
